Since the inception of the BMW International Open, it has been next to impossible to imagine the European Tour calendar without this tournament. It is an annual men’s professional golf tournament on the European Tour held in Germany. In 1989 BMW International Open added its charm to the world-class golf, and now it has been three decades and it has become the most legendary golfing event of Germany.
The 2019 BMW International Open is almost here. The tournament is scheduled to begin from 20th to 23rd June at Golfclub München Eichenried. In 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018, the event was played at Golf Club Gut Lärchenhof near Cologne, alternating with Golfclub München Eichenried which hosted the event in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017.
The longest-spanning professional golf tournament in Germany will feature the likes of Martin Kaymer and last year’s champion Matt Wallace. Apart from the golfing elite, the event will also see a host of other stars. The BMW International Open 2019 will offer much more than just world-class golf entertainment to the visitors. The visitors will relish a Championship Course that has undergone a complete renovation. Top sportsperson and celebrities across the world will also grace the event and take time out for their fans at the traditional Pro-Am tournament.
All the eyes will be on the 31st BMW International Open as it is expected to be a blockbuster golf event. The show will witness the only German winner Martin Kayer, The Ryder Cup legend Sergio García, defending champion Matt Wallace, and the record-breaker Thorbjørn Olesen along with other golfing stars.
