NASCAR heads to the beautiful Kansas City this weekend for the Go Bowling 400 race. You can catch the Live action of the race this Sunday early morning at 4:30am IST on DSport.

The Kansas International Speedway will host two races this year in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. The Go Bowling 400 and the Hollywood Casino 400 which is set for late October. For the fourth time in 2017, the Monster Energy Cup Series goes intermediate oval racing.

The 1.5-mile, Kansas Speedway is a beautiful tri-oval track in Kansas City, Kansas. The track is very popular with NASCAR drivers because it is one of the easiest tracks to pass on.  This race will be a great opportunity for NASCAR fantasy drivers who were derailed by the “Big One” last Sunday, will get a chance to acquire their seasons back on track.

This race has only been in existence since 2011 and no driver has won the race twice. Joe Gibbs Racing has three team wins in this race, while Hendrick Motorsports has two.

Toyota is the top manufacturer with three wins, while Chevrolet has two wins and Dodge has one.

Track position will be of much importance this week but drivers who do not have a fast car can make up ground on the competition in the pits. Since tires do not wear out as much at Kansas as they do on the other intermediate tracks, there should be plenty of two tire pit stops Saturday night in order for teams to get their cars to the front.

Kyle Busch will be looking for a breakthrough at Kansas this weekend. The defending champion at the GO BOWLING 400, Busch placed third at last week’s GEICO 500. Busch has consistently finished in the top-10 but he is still looking for his first win heading in to this week’s race.

Pick to win

Kevin Harvick:

Harvick has an incredible record at Kansas since moving to Stewart-Haas Racing in 2014. In six races, he has four top-five finishes. Harvick has finished the last three spring races at Kansas in second place. He won at the track last October. Harvick has a series-best 122.7 driver rating and the second-best average finishing position (5.25) in the last four races at Kansas.

These feats makes him a solid pick, in particular when you study the 2014 champion’s career numbers. Harvick is second among all active drivers in average finish position at Kansas and ranks third in laps led. If Harvick starts towards the front, he has high dominator potential.
