Indian Golfer Shubhankar Sharma all set to tee-off at Hero Open 2020

COVID-19 pandemic has brought all the outdoor events to a standstill but after four months of complete hiatus European Open is back in action with all the necessary precautions. Hero Open is the second event of the UK Swing, which got underway with the Betfred British Masters this week. The tournament is scheduled from 30 – 02 Aug 2020 at Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club, Birmingham, England. The tournament will be live telecasted on 1SPORTS from 4:30 PM (IST).

Indian golfing star Shubhankar Sharma is all set to start the European tour with Hero Open when he heads to England next week. Sharma is quite elated and looks confident before the tournament.

“I am quite excited and pumped up by the prospect and plan to play all five remaining events in the six-event UK Swing,” said Sharma. “It’s been a long time since I competed in the Middle East Swing at the start of the year. My last event was the Qatar Masters in the first week of March. Since then world golf has stopped, though it recently re-started in US and now UK. So, it will be good to see some action after a lot of preparation and rest at home,” he added.

The prize money for Hero Open is One million Euros. India’s Hero Group has been announced as the Title Partner of the Hero Open – the second of six events in the European Tour’s new UK Swing.
